1 - Wave WiFi Marine Broadband Router - 4 Source

MBR400 Marine Broadband Router

The model MBR 400 has four input sources such as Wave WiFi, Cellular, Fleet Broadband and VSAT.

The Marine Broadband Router manages connections with an 'Auto-Failover' mode or manually through a simple dropdown menu on the familiar Wave WiFi network scan page. Set a preferred connection in the simple setup menu such as your Wave WiFi EC unit, the cellular connection or satellite. If that connection loses Internet access, the Broadband Router seamlessly connects you to the next available source. Satellite connections can be password protected to prevent unauthorized access.

The Marine Broadband Router is the central control element for a robust Internet communications system. It is easy to use, with no special skills necessary. Like all Wave WiFi products, the Broadband Router's web-based functionality is built in; there is no software to install.

Connections are managed through Wave WiFi's web-based interface. The intuitive interface shows at a glance which broadband sources are active. A simple mouse click allows switching between active sources. Metered sources, such as Satellite and Cellular, can be password protected to prevent unauthorized use. The "Auto-Failover" mode assures the most efficient use of available bandwidth.

Advanced features include Wave WiFi's Access Management Control. This means you can create a customizable login page (Captive Portal), generate individual "user login codes" for guests and crew, monitor and control per user bandwidth as well as configure port forwarding.

1 - Wave WiFi High Performance Wi-Fi Access System w/Access Point

EC-AP-HP (Ethernet converter/ Bridge/w Local Access Point)

Wireless Internet requirements differ from one boat to another. Wave WiFi offers a range of products that meet the most discriminating requirements of the small boat owner or megayacht captain.

Wave WiFi's EC-AP-HP produces the highest allowable output power of 1 Watt providing long-range connections to good quality HotSpots.

The built-in amplifier supplies maximum receive sensitivity(-107dBm @ 11Mb/s).

All HP units ship with the latest firmware version of Wave WiFi's proprietary web-based interface. Both HP models support WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption and have a unique, built-in 'help' system, free online firmware upgrades and free online global weather forecasting from iMap Weather.

The EC-AP-HP is an Ethernet Converters (EC) so a direct connection can be made to any Ethernet enabled device resulting in flawless performance as a standalone system or integrated into the boat's network. Also there is no software to install, no USB restrictions and no power-robbing USB connections. This means better performance for plug-and-play computer accessories like SKYPE phones and webcams.

The EC-AP-HP models feature a built-in access point allowing you to create your own access point (HotSpot) aboard your boat. With the EC-AP-HP multiple computers aboard the boat can connect to the access point wirelessly.

  • 1 Watt (+30dBm) output power
